Readin', Writin', Racism, Romance ~ pt 2.5

Posted by Seressia in ,

Seattle Weekly ran an article regarding the scarcity of multicultural romance. I'm not sure what current dating trends have to do with lack of diversity in romance, but then I also don't understand the need to ask, "Why would anyone want to write them?" Feel free to go comment on the article (and if you'd like to tell the reporter to stuff his condescending attitude, go head).

One thing the article touched on was the lack of diversity in chapters (the seattle one in particular.) I'd like to say my home chapter, Georgia Romance Writers, is pretty diverse with published authors. Off the top of my head, I can name Carmen Green, Berta Platas, Bridget Anderson, Adrianne Byrd, Carla Fredd, and myself. Hey, I made it to the other hand!

How diverse is your chapter?
